Peterson’s Spawning Shrimp

Creator: Eric Peterson

Peterson’s spawning shrimp is a versatile shrimp pattern used for bonefish all over the Caribbean & USA. It swims well when striped and hovers just right when casted.
Peterson’s spawning shrimp can be tied in many variations so don’t stress out about having the exact legs or yarn. As long as you have the proportions correct, you’re good!
This is how we tie it for bonefish in Florida and the Caribbean.
